Flexible Inkjet Printed Electronics and Applications in Biosensors
柔性打印电子及其在生物传感领域的应用
Yihong Chen
Ingram School of Engineering, Texas State University, USA
Abstract: Flexible electronics is a progressive technology with the potential to radically change the electronics world and open new perspectives for wearability, portability, and cost of electronic devices. Applications include biological sensors, touch screens, electronic paper, photovoltaic cells, and radio frequency tags, just to name a few. Within the healthcare industry, flexible biological detection systems are being explored to continuously monitor physiological conditions and biomarkers that assess overall fitness, presence of disease, and/or response to treatments with the overall goal of making life easier, safer, and more enjoyable. During this talk, Dr. Chen will review the current progress in flexible electronics, with a focus on graphene field effect transistor fabricated on a flexible Kapton substrate using 3-D inkjet printing for use as a biosensor to detect infectious organisms.
